Plans & Billing
Understand RankTurn's plans, prices, trial, per-site billing model, and how to manage your subscription.
RankTurn bills per site. Each site you run is a separate team workspace with its own subscription, its own usage quotas, and its own plan. This section explains the plans and prices, the 3-day trial that gets you started, and how to view, upgrade, downgrade, or cancel a subscription.
There are four states a site can be in: the unpaid Free state, and three paid plans — Text, Standard, and Pro. A new site begins on Free, takes a short paid trial, and then settles onto a monthly plan.
Plans Overview
All paid plans are billed monthly. Prices are shown per site, per month. Your currency follows your interface language: a Japanese interface bills in JPY, every other language bills in USD.

The Free state is what a site sits in before you subscribe (or after a subscription ends). It cannot generate articles, keywords, or titles — it exists so you can sign in, look around, and start the trial or a plan.
Text is text-only article generation: no image, diagram, or thumbnail generation. Standard adds images, diagrams, thumbnails, and custom image styles. Pro raises the article and keyword ceilings and unlocks the automation and analytics features — Series, Trend Watch, AI Insights, and Competitor Analysis.

Per-Site Billing Model
A site is a team workspace, and the subscription belongs to that workspace — not to your personal account. This matters when you run more than one site:
- Each site subscribes independently. You can have one site on Text and another on Pro.
- Quotas (articles, keywords, titles) are counted and reset per site, not pooled across sites.
- Unlimited team members are included on every paid plan, so you can invite collaborators to a site without raising the price.
Only members allowed to manage billing can see and change a site's plan or open the billing portal. By default this is the site owner (and any role given that permission). Other members see a notice that they can't manage billing and should ask an owner. For who can do what, see Team Roles & Members.
Trial (3-Day)
New sites start with a low-cost paid trial rather than a free tier, so you can run the full product end-to-end before committing to a monthly plan.
- Price: ¥500 (JPY interface) for 3 days.
- Allowance: 1 article, plus up to 30 AI keyword suggestions and 30 AI title generations.
- One per account: the trial can only be started once.
The trial is the normal entry path out of the Free state — you typically start it from the paywall at the end of the onboarding wizard. When the 3 days end, the site moves onto a regular monthly plan so generation keeps working without interruption.

Managing Your Subscription
Go to Settings > Billing for the site you want to manage.
View your current plan
The billing page shows your active subscription: the plan name, the current price, and your renewal date. If a downgrade is already scheduled, a notice tells you which plan you'll move to and when it takes effect.
Change your plan
When you have an active subscription and permission to manage billing, the Change Plan card lets you move between Text, Standard, and Pro:
- Upgrade — takes effect immediately. You're charged the prorated difference for the rest of the current cycle, and the higher plan's features and quotas unlock right away.
- Downgrade — is scheduled for the end of the current billing period. You keep all of your current plan's features and quotas until the period ends, then the lower plan takes over. A scheduled downgrade can be cancelled before it takes effect.
Billing portal
On the Manage your Billing Details card, click Visit Billing Portal to open the Stripe billing portal, where you can:
- Update your payment method
- View and download invoices and receipts
- Cancel the subscription
When you need more capacity within your current plan without upgrading, you can buy Add-On Packs for extra articles or custom style tokens.
Usage Tracking
Each site's quotas — articles, AI keyword suggestions, and AI title generations — are counted per billing cycle and reset at the start of each cycle. The article cap is a ceiling on articles that exist on the site for the cycle; keyword and title quotas are counted per generation.
If you hit a limit before the cycle resets, you can:
- Wait for the next billing cycle to reset the quota,
- Upgrade to a higher plan (immediate, prorated), or
- Buy an Add-On Pack for one-off extra capacity.
