Plan Details
Compare RankTurn's Free, Text, Standard, and Pro tiers with exact limits, media capabilities, and pricing.
RankTurn bills you per site — each site is its own workspace with its own subscription. There are three paid plans (Text, Standard, Pro) plus a Free state for sites that aren't paying. Every paid plan includes the core toolkit: keyword management, AI title and article generation, SEO optimization, publishing to multiple platforms, and unlimited team members. The plans differ in how many articles you can generate each month, the AI media you get (images, diagrams, thumbnails, custom styles), and the advanced analytics.
Here are the key limits at a glance.

Free (the unpaid state)
Free isn't a plan you sign up for — it's simply what a site looks like when it has no active subscription (for example, after a trial ends without you subscribing, or after a paid subscription lapses). On Free, content generation is paused: you can't generate articles, keyword suggestions, or titles, and you can't add team members.
Your existing data is never deleted. Articles, keywords, settings, and integrations stay intact, and everything resumes the moment you subscribe to a paid plan. See 3-Day Trial for how new sites get a limited preview (1 article, plus capped keyword and title generation) before they pay.

Choosing a Plan
| If you need... | Choose |
|---|---|
| Text-only SEO articles on a budget | Text |
| Articles with images and diagrams | Standard |
| Higher volume (30 articles) + competitive intelligence | Pro |
| Serialized content or trend monitoring | Pro |
Most teams start on Standard for full articles with visuals, then move to Pro once they need more volume, serialized content, or competitor and Search Console analytics. For a closer look at each limit, see Usage Quotas.
Upgrade / Downgrade Mechanics
- Upgrade (e.g. Text -> Standard, or Standard -> Pro): takes effect immediately, and the higher limits and features unlock right away. The cost is prorated for the rest of your billing period.
- Downgrade (e.g. Pro -> Standard): scheduled for the end of your current billing period. You keep all your current features and limits until the switch takes effect.
When you downgrade from Pro, the Pro-exclusive features become unavailable after the switch:
- Series
- Trend Watch
- AI Insights
- Competitor Analysis
Your monthly article, keyword, and title limits also drop to the new plan's allowance. You can manage all of this from Managing Your Subscription. If you only need a temporary boost rather than a permanent change, consider Add-On Packs.
Data Retention on Plan Change
Changing plans never deletes your data. Articles, keywords, generated images, settings, and integrations all stay intact across upgrades, downgrades, and even when a site drops to Free. What changes is access:
- On a lower plan, features that plan doesn't include (such as Pro analytics) are hidden, but the data they produced earlier is preserved.
- Media you already generated stays attached to existing articles even if your new plan has a lower per-article media cap — the cap only applies to new generation.
- If a site drops to Free, generation is paused but nothing is removed; subscribing again restores full access.
