3-Day Trial
How RankTurn's low-cost 3-day trial works, how to start it, how it converts to a monthly plan, and how to end or cancel it.
Instead of a permanently free tier, RankTurn starts you on a short, low-cost paid trial so you can run the entire product end-to-end — keyword research, AI titles, full article generation, and publishing — before committing to a monthly plan. The trial is the normal way a new site leaves the unpaid Free state, and when it ends the site rolls onto the monthly plan you chose so nothing stops working.
How the Trial Works
The trial is a single small payment that unlocks the product for three days with a limited allowance.
| Trial | |
|---|---|
| Price | ¥500 (Japanese interface; the equivalent amount in USD for other languages) |
| Length | 3 days |
| Articles | 1 article |
| AI keyword suggestions | Up to 30 |
| AI title generations | Up to 30 |
| Frequency | Once per account |
The ¥500 is a real charge taken at checkout — it is not a deposit and it is not refunded when the trial converts to a plan. During the three days you can generate one full article and use the AI keyword and title features within the limits above, exactly as you would on a paid plan, so you can judge the output quality before the first monthly charge.
The trial is tied to your user account (once per user), not to an individual site. Article generation during the trial draws down the single 1-article allowance; once it's used, you've reached the trial's article cap until you're on a monthly plan. For how quotas are counted in general, see Usage Quotas.
Starting a Trial
There are two places to start a trial.
- From onboarding. The most common path is the paywall at the end of the onboarding wizard. After you set up your business profile and preview the AI features, you choose a plan and start the trial there.
- From Settings > Billing. If your site is still on Free, open Settings > Billing for that site and start the trial from the billing page.
Starting a trial does two things at once: you pick the plan you want to convert to (Text, Standard, or Pro), and you complete the ¥500 checkout. During checkout, Stripe (the billing provider) saves your payment method so the monthly plan can begin automatically when the trial ends. Standard is the default selection if you don't change it.
A trial cannot be started if either of the following is already true for the site:
- The site has already used a trial (the trial is once per account).
- The site already has an active monthly plan.
In either case you'll see a message explaining why, rather than a second checkout.
Auto-Conversion to Your Chosen Plan
When the 3 days end, the trial converts automatically to the plan you selected at checkout — no second action is required:
- The monthly fee for your chosen plan is charged to the payment method on file.
- The site moves from the trial allowance onto that plan's full monthly quotas and features.
- Generation keeps working without interruption, because the plan starts the moment the trial ends.
The monthly prices your trial can convert to are the standard plan prices:
| Plan | Price (JPY / month) |
|---|---|
| Text | ¥4,900 |
| Standard | ¥5,900 |
| Pro | ¥14,700 |
For the full feature comparison behind each plan, see Plan Details. Prices show in JPY for the Japanese interface and in USD otherwise.
Ending Early or Cancelling
You're in control during the three days.
End the trial early and start your plan now. If you've finished evaluating and want the full monthly quotas right away, open Settings > Billing and end the trial. This ends the trial immediately, charges the first monthly payment, and starts your chosen plan straight away — you don't have to wait out the remaining days. You can only do this while the trial is still active and has not already converted.
Cancel so no monthly charge is taken. If you decide RankTurn isn't for you, cancel during the trial from Settings > Billing. As long as you cancel before the 3 days are up, no monthly fee is charged — only the original ¥500 trial payment applies. After cancellation the site returns to the Free state and can no longer generate content until you subscribe.
The key timing rule: cancelling before the trial ends avoids the monthly charge; once the trial has converted, you're on a normal monthly plan and any further changes follow the usual subscription rules. See Managing Your Subscription for upgrades, downgrades, and post-conversion cancellation.
Once-Per-User Limitation
The trial can only be used once per account. After a site has started a trial — whether it converted to a paid plan, was ended early, or was cancelled — that account can't start another ¥500 trial.
If you've already used your trial and your site is back on Free, your path forward is to subscribe to a monthly plan directly from Settings > Billing rather than starting a new trial. Although monthly billing is per site, the trial is a once-per-user benefit — it is not granted again for each new site you create. If you've already used your trial on any site, additional sites subscribe to a monthly plan directly.
